The Panzanellas Open is in its 5th year. It started with Dave, the owner of Panzanellas, and Tim Driscoll of the Foss & Russell Group putting on an annual tournament with one rule: all the money goes back to the Newmarket community.
Past years have paid for new defibrillators in Newmarket police cars, money for Little League and Project Graduation, and last year around $5,000 to the Newmarket Food Pantry.
The Foss & Russell Group has been a major sponsor since the second year.
